When thinking about the library and its impact throughout history to the present, it has always been a place of gathering for the community to seek, something either it be for knowledge and wisdom or community and peace. As a place where ideas and thoughts come to gather forming their own social and thought bubbles by the people that come pass. I wanted to focus this idea into my project by creating the bubble library where showing both how it is now not only a place for research and work but a place for gathering and community. To now where the sense, if the community is expanding evermore than normal like our own socials bubbles, expands rage library bubbles expand as more as well too.

As it interacts with the old and new library a chemical like the reaction from where it dissolves parts of the traditional library making room for a new ever-expanding one. Bubble when connected they should have an angle of 120 when having a common wall. Bubble go where the most interaction within the library is and branches out from the traditional parts of the library, this shows the ever-expanding parts of the library. Smaller and more separated bubble are place in spots that are more traditional to show small pockets of inspiration within them. The bubble working from the inside out of each room to form each of its own unique forms. All of the bases are larger and as it moves up in the building they become smaller.

As mentioned before with the new bubble addition theses are planned to have the new programs and programs that are based on community and creativity, such as child care, auditorium, creative corner, collaborative space, galleries etc.. Having small pockets of private study spaces either being pods or carvings from the wall, seeing as almost a relaxation area. By removing parts of the north section of the library this creates more of an open feel to the library not to closes off Wanted it to be a space where people wanted to come and enjoy similar to the form of the grass area of the library as it is facing the entrance to the RMIT campus where. Having the floor mimics the groupings of the bubble formation within the building design is hope to draw more people in as well as each grouping having its own colour code to it giving the illusion of a 3d effect on a flat floor, which was inspired by federation squares flooring The new opening leads up to a new contour outdoor grass space like the from as people really enjoyed it and having it here allows for the most sun exposure. The addition of the petition allows people to have a direct path from QV to the RMIT campus The library was used to be seen as an obstacle to go around to react the QV now a pleasant stroll The patio design once again alone with other small details such as the railing mimics the bubble structure rule and placement

The façade pattern of more of a realistic bubble formation as when multiple bubbles collide, they form more of a hexagonal shape which I wanted to incorporate Reflective material so it may change colour during the day acts like a mirror The windows and entrances of the additional bubble were created to show rips of the façade seen as spaces that are still continuing to expand and grow to further emphasis the thought of growth and expansion within the design.
