CONCEPT 1 AND 3 BOTH MY FAVOURITE ONES AND BASED ON FEEDBACK were THE MOST EXCITING OF THEM ALL. IN THIS I DECIDED TO COMBINE THE TWO IDEAS TO CREATE ON CONCEPT AND BEGIN TO WORK OUT TO FIT THEM TOGETHER IN A MODEL. ONE CONCERN OF THE DESIGN IS IF THE RAMP COULD GO ONTO THE ROAD AND IS IT CONSIDERED TO BE TOO STEEP FOR PEOPLE TO WALK UP IT. HOWEVER, BOTH THESE CONCEPTS GIVE A GREAT AMOUNT OF ATMOSPHERE WITHIN IT.

FOR THE DESIGN I CREATED THE STRUCTURE TI BE MORE OF OF REALISTIC INFLATABLE BUBBLES, MAKING ME NAME IT THE BUBBLE LIBRARY. WITHIN THIS DESIGN I WANTED TO KEEP THE MAIN PARTS OF THE LIBRARY WITH THE MOST HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE. WITH THE USE OF THE NEW BUBBLE TO INGOLF THE PRE-EXISTING LIBRARY

THE GLASS FACADE HELPS IT LINK TO THE BUBBLES AND MATCH MOST OF THE OTHER SKYSCRAPER WITHIN THE MELBOURNE CBD. THIS NEW DESIGN NOW INCORPORATES A ROOF GARDEN SPACE FOR PEOPLE TO INJOY. HOWEVER, THE USE OF THE SLOP IS STILL SEEN AS TOO STEEP AND TO HIGH FOR PEOPLE TO USE.

inspiration

THE NEW PAVILION DESIGN I CREATED TO MIMIC A BUBBLE EFFECT AND THE NEW NETTING FACADE THAT I WANTED MY STRUCTURE TO HAVE. THIS CREATES A UNIQUE PATTERING FOR THE SHADING AND KEEPS IT CONNECTED TO THE BUILDING AS IT CAN BE SEEN THROUGH THE SKETCHES
